  The Indian Ocean cyclone season of 2023 is set to kick off in the month of May, with a fresh system currently brewing in the Bay of Bengal. According to the India Meteorological Division (IMD), a low-pressure region is probably going to shape over Southeast Bay of Bengal this this weekend . . It will then concentrate into a depression by May 8, and subsequently strengthen into a Cyclonic Storm while moving north, towards Central Bay of Bengal. Upon its intensification into a Cyclonic Storm, the system will be named  Cyclone Mocha . Why is it named as Cyclone Mocha? This name, suggested by Yemen, originates from the Yemeni city Mocha (or Mokha) situated on the Red Ocean coast. Himachal has a number of beautiful and enchanting lakes . Some of those lakes in Himachal Pradesh are sacred pilgrimage destinations and most of them have found mention in Hindu mythology. Nako Lake, Kinnaur District             Nako Lake  is a high altitude lake in the Pooh sub-division of the  Kinnaur                   district. The lake glitters like a gem in rugged landscape.              RIVER SYSTEM IN HIMACHAL PRADESH The Himalaya houses a vast reservoir of moisture both in the form of ice, fresh water, and underground water. The rivers draining Himalayas sustain life in the Northern part of Indian sub-continent. There are five main rivers which flow through Himachal Pradesh.  Four out of these five rivers found mention in the Rig Veda, viz, Asikni (Chenab), Purushani (Ravi), Arjikiya (Beas) and Shatudru (Satluj) . The fifth river Yamuna has mythical relation to the Sun. The flow of water through a definite channel is drainage . The network of several such channels is called drainage system.
